[aur-general] Putting android development packages into [community]

Hi, I'm playing with the idea of pulling the android packages into [community]. They seem to be in strong demand but so far their maintenance track in AUR has been fairly inconsistent. I'd like opinions on this because they have a rather large amount of votes. There have been license concerns about this endeavor but I think they are unfounded as all Android stuff (not including externals) is Apache license and thus ok to redistribute. Also, I'd like to know whether anybody thinks that instead of just repackaging the binaries, building from source would be preferable. -- Sven-Hendrik

[aur-general] [AUR] Orphan all old packages flagged as out-of-date

Hi TUs, I'd like to orphan all packages in AUR flagged as out-of-date before February 2011 (for example, I think 3 months are enough). What do you think about? Maybe Loui/Lukas can provide a list? Maintainers will not get a notification about that (FS#15412), but I guess they doesn't care anymore about their packages. Cheers -- Andrea

[aur-general] Orphan request for burg packages

The maintainer of the burg collection of packages, cruznick, has been MIA for two months. He has not responded to comments in AUR or the BBS. I sent him an email one month ago to the email listed on AUR (same as on BBS) with no reply. The package burg-bzr was flagged out of date on 23 of April. Several PKGBUILDs can not be built and require a (simple) fix. Please orphan the following packages. buc burg-bzr burg-emu burg-manager burg-themes Thanks.

[aur-general] Use multilib-devel in makedepends ?

Hi there, I always used "gcc-multilib" as makedepends for lib32 packages to avoid users that hadn't [multilib] repo turned on, but than I saw this "multilib-devel" group. It has gcc, glibc and libtool lib32 and multilib packages. Considering that "base-devel" group is assumed to be installed [1], lib32 packages should have "multilib-devel" group requested or just assumed as well ? [aur-general] Proposal to disown all of x-demon's packages.

Hi, I would like to get some opinions on whether I should disown all of x-demon's packages in the aur. His last package update was back in december 2010 and a lot of his packages are outdated. I sent an email explaining to him that he should start maintaining his packages, and I gave him 2 weeks to send me an email or start maintaining his packages. It has been 2 weeks and he hasn't responded.
