Due to the extremely complex nature of the build system and lack of time to figure out, the package has been disowned. If someone doesn't pick it up in a few days, I'll throw it back in unsupported.

[aur-general] Package Update: shorewall-perl

As noted in the latest newsletter, the shorewall-perl package in AUR is orphaned and out-of-date. The package is currently in [community] so I cannot adopt it, but I have updated the PKGBUILD and attached it to this message. I'm not sure if this is the appropriate method for submitting this particular update, so please correct me if need be. Notes/critiques on the PKGBUILD are appreciated as well. -Vardyr

Hi, I'd like to adopt the "fortune-mod-cs" package in AUR. The current maintainer doesn't care about my comments under the package, neither does he respond on my email. Can someone orphan the package, so that I can adopt it? Thanks D

Hi everyone. I sent an (gentle ^_^) email 4 days ago to eclipse-qt maintainer to ask him to update his package on Aur but I did not get any response. The last update was 24 June 2007. http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?do_Details=1&ID=11798&O=25&L=0&C=0&K=… In my email, I offered him to adopt his package if he did not have the time to maintain it. What can we do if he did not response? Could I adopt his package or should I simply post my new pkgbuild as a comment? [aur-general] Trouble with package vim

hi, I try to do an update this evening and when I launch pacman -Su I've got an error message : :: Starting full system upgrade... resolving dependencies... error: cannot resolve "vi>=7.1.228", a dependency of "vim" error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies) :: vim: requires vi>=7.1.228 Is there an update of vim without vi, or does the PKGBUILD is wrong with version number ? The latest vi version that I found is 7.1.156 with pacman. Regards.
