[aur-general] a little PKGBUILD help please?

Howdy guys, One of my PKGBUILDs has an architecture-specific make line, and I'd like to have a different line used depending on the architecture. Now, if someone grabs and uses the PKGBUILD unmodified from the aur, and has an x86 box, the build will be wrong. I have no idea how to add a check to my PKGBUILD. Can someone give me a hand? Want me to post it here, or do you want to just look at it in the aur? Thanks. --

[aur-general] a package seems to be orphan, can i adopt it ?

the package is mtag. it doesn't build with taglib 1.5, the develloper of this soft has send me the answer to this problem : only replace this line : if test "$TAGLIB_VER" != "1.4"; then by this one : if test "$TAGLIB_VER" != "1.5"; then it's in the 27th line of `configure.ac' file I want to update this package, is it possible ? I specify that i've already send an e-mail to the maintainer, two weeks ago, to explain him what happends but he haven't corrected his PKGBUILD. -- max-k <maxk69(a)free.fr>

[aur-general] How can i modify my aur PKGBUILD?

Hi, I'm a newbie. I use gnu/emacs in my working. And Mew is a great plugin of emacs to deal with email. I write the PKGBUILD for the Mew and upload it to the AUR. Now, I found something wrong with those file, and I write a new version of it.How can i update the changes ? I can't find any place in the aur web page to update my work. Who can help me ?

[aur-general] x86_64 compilation box for devs and TUs

Hey! I have a new computer. I already gave access to a "prod" server to some TUs to compile for x86_64 systems. I will migrate their Unix accounts. I use this E-mail to notify them: port knocking isn't necessary anymore. Other devs and TUs can get an account by jabber/emailing me. I thank slubman very much for the CPU, motherboard, case, wifi card, etc. (people may know him from the archlinux.fr planet). He rocks (well, I need to say it as he will read this E-mail). root access via sudo will be provided in a first time, I might write some scripts to provide virtual machines to everyone later. Please makepkg -s and pacman -Rsc once done ;) SSH access won't be permanent: network connection kinda "sucks" (around 100kB/s upload), and I might use other OSes/move it from time to time. Here are the specs: Kernel : 2.6.25-ARCH CPU & Cache: Processor 0: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz 2400MHz, 4096 KB Cache Processor 1: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz 2400MHz, 4096 KB Cache Processor 2: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz 2400MHz, 4096 KB Cache Processor 3: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz 2400MHz, 4096 KB Cache 500GB (32MB cache) 7200rpm Seagate HD 4GB 800MHz 4-4-4-12 DDR2 RAM No [testing] on it, as I had problems with catalyst...
