[aur-general] Can't build staging/testing packages using devtools

I noticed I can't build any staging or testing packages in a clean chroot using the usual *-build scripts. My host system is using all stable packages (no pacman 4 whatsoever). The error I get during maketime is: $ sudo staging-x86_64-build [many packages] Total Installed Size: 149.09 MiB Proceed with installation? Hey guys, I'm trying to upload perl-perlio-eol to the AUR, and I'm getting a message that it's blacklisted. Apparently, due to this commit... http://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit/community.git/commit/?id=598b724e52b… ...it was dropped from community, but doesn't that mean that it's perfectly fine to maintain in the AUR? If this is so, I'd be happy to put it up and keep an eye on it. Thanks in advance! -Max

[aur-general] Removal request: pidgin-knotify

Hello, I'm the maintainer of pidgin-knotify( https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=32919 ) in the AUR and i think the package should be removed as soon as possible. Today a user notified me about an unfixed bug, which allows remote command injection. It does not seem like this will be fixed in the foreseeable future. IMHO it would be best to remove the package. Thanks

pidgin-gtalk-shared-status[1] should be deleted, as pidgin-gtalksharedstatus [2] is a better (my subjective opinion) name and pre-dates it, plus has more votes (and is actually up-to-date). I just disowned [2] myself since I don't use it anymore, but found [1] while searching for it, so I thought keeping things clean is better =).
