As you may know, Gitorious was acquired by GitLab <http://mandrillapp.com/track/click/30589491/about.gitlab.com?p=eyJzIjoiQmxX…> about a month ago, and we announced that Gitorious.org would be shutting down at the end of May, 2015. After the announcement we talked to the Archive Team <http://mandrillapp.com/track/click/30589491/archiveteam.org?p=eyJzIjoiZDNLO…> about how to preserve Gitorious.org and its data for the future. A member of the Archive Team graciously offered to host gitorious.org as a read-only archive on Gitorious.org and GitLab agreed to allow to use the Gitorious.org domain name for this. This is a huge benefit to anyone depending on gitorious.org as repositories will remain available at the same location. Cloning and fetching will continue to work as well. Projects you may depend on will stay around even if it isn't moved to GitLab. In order to build the archive we need to make Gitorious.org read-only prior to the shutdown date. This ensures that no new data is coming in while we are migrating. Pushing changes and creating new repositories will therefore stop working from the 15th of May, 2015. If you need to push changes, create new repositories and generally collaborate on code, I highly recommend using the migration tool available on gitlab.com <http://mandrillapp.com/track/click/30589491/gitlab.com?p=eyJzIjoia0JUeEZHSj…> and updating your remotes to point there. Hello, This is my official application to become a Trusted User, as Jelle decided to sponsor me So, a little info about me. My name is Johannes Löthberg, I’m currently 19 years old, at the end of the last year of my Gymnasium education, and I live in Stockholm, Sweden. I sometimes do some light programming, in either C or Python[1][2], I like to do server and network administration. Currently I am an Arch Linux IRC operator, occasionally take a stroll through the Arch bug-tracker, and have sent in small number of patches to makpkg/pacman[3][4], and maintain a couple of packages in the AUR. Some packages I would like to maintain in [community] are, among others, np1-mps[5], mps-youtube[6], spambayes[7], irker[8], and rhash[#]. Some of the orphans in [community] I’d like to adopt are ncmpcpp, nss-pam-ldapd, and python{,2}-msgpack, and possibly Apache Directory Studio if I can get it packaged sanely. Additionally, I’d also like to help maintain some of the Haskell packages. Hi All, I've placed an orphan request for the chkboot-git package some time ago and it still is pending. I had some contact with the author, but he stopped replying my e-mails months ago. There are some pull requests on the upstream repo, one that I made that corrects a important bug. This package isn't updated in more than a year. I have the intention of merging https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/mkinitcpio-chkcryptoboot/ with it, even talked with the maintainer about it, but didn't got any reply.
