Since a few months, kolab support in korganizer and kaddressbook has disappeared. Does any one know if it's a definite missing feature ? Can a user add support for kolab by compiling some library ? Thank you.

[aur-general] python-foo and python2-foo - should they conflict?

Was just trying out some python packages and I realized I can't have both the python and python2 variants installed at the same time for python-networkx. Of course, there's conflicts with the license files and perhaps documentation, but other than that I wonder whether there's a use-case for having both installed (I'm in an academic setting, and I use both python3 and python2). Should I simply custom-PKGBUILD such issues or does it make sense to have, for example:- 1. python-foo provides all files shared between python3 and python2 variants 2. python2-foo depends on python-foo ?

Hi all, I have written a tool [1] in python and packaged it in AUR [2], now I have the following problem: 1) The tool is written compatible with python 2.7 and 3.x, so I'd like to depends on something like (python>=2.7), but the package python2 does not provides python=$pkgver. So what should the package depend on? (is there an "or"-like operator in depends=?) 2) How about the shebang line then? Now it is "/usr/bin/env python" but if the user only installed python2 this won't work correctly in the default case. Hi all, As xf86-input-evdev-remap [1] is out of date and xf86-input-evdev-remap-git is non-existent, I tried to create the latter. I have a few questions for you and would like you to have a look at my PKGBUILD [2] before I put it in the AUR. 1) In general, is this the correct way to write a PKGBUILD that compiles from a GIT repository with two pulls? My GIT capabilities are not that high, I merely followed the instructions on MythTV.org. [3] 2) What is pkgconfig? It's a makedepend in the AUR PKGBUILD [1], but not in the stock evdev driver. [4] Also, I can't find a package by that name in the repos, but my package builds (and works) fine. 3) Why is my default editor launched just after pulling and applying the patches (l. 39)? [aur-general] nss-pam-ldap on AUR

I am trying to setup LDAP and NSS/PAM authentication on my laboratory, but had some serious issues with nss_ldap (the system boot would lock-up when udev starts), so I was looking for alternatives when I found the nss-pam-ldap module (http://arthurdejong.org/nss-pam-ldapd/) which works great. The problem is, we have three different nss-pam-ldap PKGBUILDs on AUR, and neither of them is good (no one has systemd service files, all of them are out of date, one doesn't even install correctly). I would maintain my own package (that is a mix of some of these packages), but since there is already three differents packages I choose to not do so (well, I can't even think of a appropriate name since all of them are taken). So we have a problem here, I can maintain a package since it's of my own interest (at least until I discover how to use the nss_ldap module without problems), but I can't simple create another one.
