Hi All, I'm uploading a pkg for an mpris2 plugin for Kupfer. I don't want to clone the whole git repo (seems wasteful and I think half the code there is dead) and the only part that I'm interested in is the mpris2 folder. The only way I've found of checking out part of a repo in is to use the sparse checkout trick. The question I have is whether or not it's OK to use this in a PKGBUILD or not, what say ye wise men?! [aur-general] Qt 4.8 hits [testing] + qtwebkit package

Hi all, the last Qt major release is in [testing]. For the upstream changes see the Qt ChangeLog[1]. About the Arch Linux packaging, the libqtwebkit library isn't shipped with the qt package anymore, but with the new qtwebkit package. We rebuilt our packages in [extra] and [community] to add this new dependence. If you find a package which links to libQtWebKit.so.4, but doesn't depend on qtwebkit, please report us the bug using bugs.archlinux.org. There are two PKGBUILDs of google-musicmanager: [google-musicmanager]:https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=50891 [google-musicmanager-beta]:https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=54155 My opinion is to delete the google-musicmanager-beta. Google only provide one downloadable version of google-musicmanager,sometimes is a release version and sometimes is a beta verion,there is no difference between stable version PKGBUILD ond beta version PKGBUILD like other package do,so there is no need to create a beta version PKGBUILD alone.

Looking trough some AUR packages I use and/or used, I found one candidate to remove firefox-moonlight64 - https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=52979 it is 64 bit version of package firefox-moonlight - and now firefox-moonlight provides both architectures. Thanks, Andrzej.

The maintainer of those packages (Jussi Timperi) didn't respond to my email, so i thought "why not give it a try" I've got no experience with maintaining tarballs, neither in the AUR, nor elsewhere, but generally i am very active and would merge patches at any time.
