[arch-dev-public] some package needs rebuild for taglib-1.6?

Hi DEVs, I built the last version of taglib and taglib-extras, they are needed by amarok 2.2rc1. I can put they in [testing] instead of [extra], but I want to know if some package needs a rebuild. packages who depends on taglib are: ario bmp-musepack bmpx gimmix gstreamer0.10-good-plugins k3b kid3 krename ktorrent mp3unicode musicmanager mythmusic ncmpcpp pinot qmmp soundkonverter streamtuner taglib-extras tagpy tellico thunar-media-tags-plugin tunepimp vlc xfmedia xmms-imms -- Andrea `bash` Scarpino Arch Linux Developer

We've had a few bugs regarding the issue of our crappy default cron. http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/16085 http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/12910 The consensus among the people who have commented is that fcron is the best bet here. So let's do this. Would someone like to volunteer to boot our our old crusty dcron in favor of fcron? On a related note: dcron does not support /etc/cron.d/ and it irritates me to no end. fcron can do this, correct? If not, we should remove the cron.d dir from the package

I've been holding back on the libldap and postgresql rebuilds of postfix, because there's also a list up for db-4.8. Since I have to rebuild, I'd like to get all 3 at the same time so that testing will be consistent. However, I haven't seen any db-4.8 packages in testing. What's the status of those? - P

Furthermore, we should still include "upgpkg: ..." in the default commit message, that is missing in the second code path.

Please signoff. -Andy SQLite version 3.6.18 is now available for download from the SQLite website. http://www.sqlite.org/ The SQLite source code is tracked and managed using the Fossil distributed configuration management system. See http://www.fossil-scm.org/ for further information on Fossil. SQLite was previously versioned using CVS. The entire CVS history has been imported into Fossil. The older CVS repository remains on the website but is not read-only. There are two major enhancements in SQLite version 3.6.18. The first is a series or refinements to the query planner that help SQLite to choose better plans for joins where in the past it was selecting suboptimal query plans. The SQLITE_ENABLE_STAT2 compile-time option has been added to cause SQLite to collect histogram data on indices when the ANALYZE command is run. The use of histograms improve the query planning performance even more. The second major enhancement is that SQLite now support recursive triggers. The older non-recursive behavior of triggers is still the default behavior. Recursive triggers are activated using the recursive_triggers pragma. In addition to allowing triggers to call themselves (either directly or indirectly) the new capability also fires DELETE triggers on rows that are removed from a table as a result of REPLACE conflict resolution processing. Non-recursive triggers are still the default behavior since this is least likely to cause problems for existing applications. However, we anticipate that triggers will become recursive by default beginning with release 3.7.0. At that point, applications that want to continue using the older non-recursive trigger behavior will need to use the recursive_triggers pragma to disable recursive triggers. This version of SQLite also contains bug fixes, though none of the bugs are serious and all are obscure, so upgrading is optional. The SQLite core continues to have 100% branch test coverage and so despite the many changes in this release, the developers believe that this version of SQLite is stable and ready for production use. Here is a draft for an announcement about the new php packages we currently have in testing. They will be moved together with the libldap and postgres rebuilds. --- The new major PHP 5.3 release is finally available in the [extra] repository. This update will require manual adjustments: * update your php.ini; see php.ini.pacsave as reference * module path is now /usr/lib/php/modules * session, mbstring and zlib are now built in * the fileinfo module is now built in and no longer a separate package * mysqlnd is anabled; so libmysqlclient is no longer needed * Setting default-character-set in my.cnf may cause encoding problems * Set date.timezone in php.ini * third party extensions need to be updated * There are also new versions of the suhosin and apc extension make sure to review their configuration as well PHP was split into the following packages: * php * php-apache * php-cgi * php-curl * php-enchant * php-gd * php-gmp * php-intl * php-ldap * php-mcrypt * php-odbc * php-pear * php-pgsql * php-pspell * php-snmp * php-sqlite * php-tidy * php-xsl If you are using php on a webserver you either need the cgi or apache sapi.
