And update the DeveloperWiki:Building in a Clean Chroot to say you need kernel-2.6.xx and aufs2-utils. I lost 3 days trying to fix this. I needed to build a few packages for a server. Since I have done a Clean install from the latest install CD and sync'd/updated the system my build system broke and following the wiki no longer works. Thanks

Below are the 1st and last messages contained in the copy of Vol. 55 #44 I received, dated May 24, 5:56 PM EDT. Note the timestamp on message #1: May 23, 9:17 AM UTC. Yet the message quoted within message #10, timestamped May 24, 11:52 UTC, isn't in the digest (or anywhere else I can find). I've noted this numerous times recently and wrote it off to a lousy memory. But it's clearly more than that. Are these cross-posts being replied to? Is the digest dropping messages? [arch-general] xorg crash with setxkbmap frequently use

Hi folks, X server crashes randomly with the following error: [xkb] BOGUS LENGTH in write keyboard desc, expected 5576, got 5592 Graphic card is Intel G965, driver xf86-video-intel, tried both from [extra] and [testing]. I'm using the Caps_Lock key to change the keyboard layout via a script. I do not want to use "grp:caps_toggle" in xkb options since I need to do something else besides just layout switching. My bash script toggles between layouts running "setxkbmap -layout us" or "setxkbmap -layout ru" commands depending on the current one. Once in a while X server crashes on the toggling. Before I used the "stock" method "grp:caps_toggle", and it never crashed. Google finds several bug reports with the similar error string, but they are not related to layout switching. Thanks for ideas! Sergey.

I tried namcap a freshly built fakeroot from the latest abs sync Here is what it said namcap fakeroot-1.12.2-2-i686.pkg.tar.gz fakeroot E: Dependency detected and not included (bash) from files ['usr/bin/fakeroot'] fakeroot W: Dependency included but already satisfied (glibc) fakeroot W: Dependency included and not needed (filesystem) fakeroot W: Dependency included and not needed (grep) fakeroot W: Dependency included and not needed (sed) This is the dependency line from the PKGBUILD depends=('glibc' 'filesystem' 'grep' 'sed') What is namcap telling me ? Could fakeroot be built from a PKGBUILD without those dependencies? And is missing the bash dependency?
