Also, Kynikos, and especially me, wanted to have a way to cite our sources when writing articles. I feel indeed ashamed not being able to cite properly articles or blog posts we based our own content on. [arch-general] Firefox showing flashplugin as outdated although it's not

For the last few days, firefox started showing the following message when trying to run flash content: "Firefox has prevented the outdated plugin "Adobe Flash" from running on ..." I'm running a fully updated os and the package doesn't seem outdated, so I think it's a problem with firefox reading the flash plugin version wrong. Hi, I'm trying to update some of my settings for the mailing list, but I can't find the settings page on list.archlinux.org. I've tried accessing my account via the subscription page (e.g. https://lists.archlinux.org/listinfo/arch-general ), but this just sends me a security warning. Specifically, I'd like to disable duplicate messages (from sending) and add my real name. My message to mailman(a)lists.archlinux.org was bounced back, which is why I'm posting to this list. [arch-general] archlinux updates error reduction

I commented out mirror.abscission.net in my /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist since so far as I can tell that server runs too slow and causes yaourt to error out on it persistently. Hello, I used makepkg to build a package from /tmp. The package was then put to the designated directory and a symlink to pwd. When I try to install it with pacman -U /tmp/symlink-to-package, I get an error (permission denied) which I don't get when invoking pacman -U directly with the name of the file (not with the symbolic link). [arch-general] Problem with audio

Hi! I have configured MPD to start with systemd using: $ systemctl --user enable mpd.service and MPD works fine but when I try to use other programs like VLC, there is no sound but by restarting MPD's service sound works again.
