[arch-general] Broken dependency in extra - java-openjfx

Hi, to update my install I needed to remove java-openjfx. Probably an unneeded package, however, it's still provided by extra. Should I open a bug report or is fixing it already in the pipeline? There's an outdated package in testing since 2019-08-20, too. $ sudo pacman -Syu [snip] looking for conflicting packages... error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies) :: installing jre-openjdk (13.u33-1) breaks dependency 'java-runtime-openjdk=12' required by java-openjfx $ pactree -r java-openjfx java-openjfx "Required By (0)" - https://www.archlinux.org/packages/?q=java-openjfx Regards, Ralf

[arch-general] pacman -Syu - Running post-transaction hooks... error: command failed to execute correctly

All, Not sure if this is important or not, but I thought I would pass it along. During update tonight, when the post-transaction hooks ran, I received the following related to creating temporary files: :: Running post-transaction hooks... ( 1/16) Creating system user accounts... ( 2/16) Reloading system manager configuration... ( 3/16) Creating temporary files... error: command failed to execute correctly ( 4/16) Arming ConditionNeedsUpdate... ( 5/16) Updating linux-lts module dependencies... <snip> There is nothing in /var/log/pacman.log related to this error. Is it important? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.

[arch-general] FOSDEM Hackathon

Hi folks FOSDEM 2020 will be on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd of February, 2020. https://fosdem.org/2020/ At Arch Conf, we discussed having a hackathon either before or after FOSDEM. I'd like to get some general opinion about preferences on dates for that hackathon. Note there's often other events surrounding FOSDEM. [arch-general] Gnome-keyring + Seahorse 3.34.0 are breaking Mate logout / shutdown.

Hello. I noticed today that gnome-keyring with seahorse 3.34.0 broke Mate-desktop logout / shutdown process. When I wanted to shutdown my computer, I got a dialog box telling me that "at-spi-bus-launcher" was not answering, asking me if I wanted to wait or to kill the process. I had to switch to another tty and reboot by hand using a sudo reboot command :( I tried downgraded recently upgraded package and the one that reverts the bug was gnome-keyring going back to 3.31.91 version :( I opened a bug on archlinux bugtracker: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/63995 Do you have this bug too?
