[arch-general] boot from install medium - mounting additional partition refused

Hi archers, today i was booting from the install medium dd'ed on an usb drive. As there is space left on the medium I created one more partition to load or save stuff from the system booted. Surprisingly I cannot boot: root@archiso ~ # mount /dev/sdb3 /mnt mount: /mnt: /dev/sdb3 already mounted or mount point busy. [arch-general] steam-native can't find libpcre.so.3, breaks embedded browser

It seems like the steam-native package is broken as of March 21, according to this bug report[1]. Installing libselinux and pcre seems to fix the issue. I don't know if it's a good idea to write about it here, but I'd like to get this patch mainstreamed, instead of having to install another package to workaround this bug. [arch-general] PAM complains about "expired account"

Hi, I set up two-key authentication for SSH on my desktop through pam_oauth.so It used to work perfectly when connecting from my laptop, until recently it suddenly stopped. The logs indiacte the following error: |mars 21 14:11:22 arch sshd[26209]: error: PAM: User account has expired for username from 192.168.0.254| Wherearch is the hostname, and username is my username. My account is not expired, here is the output of chage -l: |Last password change : mars 21, 2019 Password expires : never Password inactive : never Account expires : never Minimum number of days between password change : 0 Maximum number of days between password change : 99999 Number of days of warning before password expires : 7 | |I have no idea what this could be, is there a PAM-internal expiration concept? Reddit could not offer any help... Thanks in advance for any help! | || ||

[arch-general] Dbeaver is ready to leave community-testing

Hi, I was told this mailing list was the best to discuss community-testing packages. I've downloaded dbeaver-6.0.0.1 from the repo, and can confirm the package is entirely function (I tried most drivers and functionalities). Moreover, the version currently available on community is rather outdated. Thanks for your time, Farid

Hello, 1. knotes 18.12.3-1 does not start at all knotes: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libknotesprivate.so.5: undefined symbol: _ZN7Akonadi10Collection21markAttributesChangedEv 2. kontact 18.12.3-1 often crashes after a few seconds. When it does not, there is no knotes tab. No better result after reboot. Thanks for looking into that.
