Hi all, I am using Arch. In the middle of last year I successfully wiped two partitions on my laptop following the instructions here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Dm-crypt/Drive_preparation#dm-crypt_wi… This year I decided to wipe the remaining partition on the same laptop using the same command command but it fails as below. [arch-general] 5.10.5 - network card r8169 not activated on cold start?

All, Sorry for the lapse in posts, but when Arch changed list delivery to the cloud service, my ISP bounced all mails from the new IP. New issue, after an extended power-outage caused by a rare snow storm in north-east Texas, I had to boot from cold start after the power being out for 2 days. On boot, the network device enp5s0 did not get started. Viewing the logs, the r8169 device was never started. The cold boot log is: Jan 12 07:51:38 valkyrie systemd[1]: Timed out waiting for device /sys/subsystem/net/devices/enp5s0. Jan 12 07:51:38 valkyrie systemd[1]: Dependency failed for dhcpcd on enp5s0. Jan 12 07:51:38 valkyrie systemd[1]: dhcpcd(a)enp5s0.service: Job dhcpcd(a)enp5s0.service/start failed with result 'dep endency'. Jan 12 07:51:38 valkyrie systemd[1]: sys-subsystem-net-devices-enp5s0.device: Job sys-subsystem-net-devices-enp5s0. device/start failed with result 'timeout'. I have been using this same Arch server for 5-6 years now and I haven't ever had an issue with the device not coming up. Granted for a majority of the last 5 years the box has only been rebooted, save an except for a drive replacement, etc... Since the device was not activated by the kernel, there was no chance of using ip link to start the device. Hello World, Is there a plan to update the python-dnspython package ? It happened to be flagged as out of date since 2020-11-19. The actual version in the PyPI is 2.1.0. Hi folks, on my up-to-date Arch Linux system, I can't start darktable anymore. The error message is: /usr/bin/darktable: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libavif.so.9: undefined symbol: I422ToRGBAMatrix However, both darktable (darktable-2:3.4.0-2) and libavif (libavif-0.8.4-1) are up-to-date, as well as my entire system. /usr/lib/libavif.so.9 exists and points to libavif.so.9.0.0, which is a regular file. glew-wayland does not provide "glew" and we cannot install glew-wayland because all the dependencies on it get uninstalled! please add this "Provides : [glfw=3.3.2]" on the package glew-wayland thank
