[arch-general] Kiosktool, missing buttons.

Hello all, I just installed "kiosktool" from extra but all the buttons (back, next, help, etc) are missing. The menus do appear, but no buttons, so the program is useless. This is wheather I start it as a user or as root. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks. Jorge.

[arch-general] latest kernel killed my X/Virtual Box as well

did system upgrade and X wouldn't boot. Tried re-configuring no luck. Downgraded back 1 kernel and all works again, except virtual box won't appear (though the processes are running). Don't know if it's my laptop (has ati video card in it). Any explanation/help/hints

what package contains the freesans, freeserif, and the freemono fonts. If i said there names wrong, please correct me. I last saw these fonts when i had ubuntu.

[arch-general] Where is libdownload?

I am trying to compile archlinux from source, but I got stuck on pacman, since it depends on libdownload, and I just can't find libdownload source anywhere on the net, since the source location http://phraktured.net/libdownload/ appears to be permanently terminated. Where can I find the sources? Karolina

[arch-general] Bug Day

A Bug Day is scheduled on Saturday, 15th of December. The reason for this is to reduce the amount of old reports and feature requests. We will clear outdated reports, fix/implement those that already have patches provided or are trivial to fix/implement, discuss the pros & cons of implementing some feature requests, look at reports assigned to inactive/resigned devs, close/move reports for packages moved to Community/Unsupported. Join us at #archlinux-bugs channel on irc.freenode.net during 15th of December. As we live in different timezones not all devs will be available at the same time, but feel free to report your issues to any dev available online. [arch-general] How to report bugs

When rebuilding from source, I find build problems here and there. I tried the http://bugs.archlinux.org/ web-page, but all I can do is looking at bug reports, but I find no way to report a new bug. How is it done? Or maybe build problems should not be reported as bugs, but in some other way? Karolina

I have an uptodate i686 chroot tree and am using a current abs tree for core/base packages. [arch-general] missing vbox_build_module

I wonder if anyone has anyidea about this, I posted previously and got no reply. May laptop is 1.8 celeron + ati, I upgraded system > no X, tried reconfiguring X to no avail (X wouldn't boot at all, just seemed to lock up). I downgraded back to kernel26-2.6.23.8-1-i686.pkg.tar.gz, and kde loaded fine, but virtualbox wouldn't load (no front-end gui), no error logs generated, the command just hangs in the terminal. looked everywhere for the /usr/bin/vbox_build_module to rebuild the kernel module but dosn't seem to exist on the computer. Did an updatedb etc first to try and find it. Checked out the forum and of course all the posts mention to use that file. doing a pacman -Ql <package name> also it seems the file needed to rebuild the kernel module is not in any of them. Any Idea's appreciated. Richard

[arch-general] xfce4-menu-popup and keybinding problem

Hi all actually i noticed this problem since the beginning as i installed arch whatever key i use for binding xfc4-popup-menu there are problems. Problems when like... the menu opens only after.. 10-20 keypresses sometimes it doesn't interestingly enough when firefox is maximised then the menu appears after i press the key i binded for like... 3 times and i noticed that i tried both xbindkeys and xfce integrated key binder same result i use -Syu regularly also noticed that Xorg process gets to eat like.. 7% cpu when i hit the binded key repeatedly (and the menu doesn't open) when the key is not binded repeated hiting it doesn't have any impact on Xorg process it's a really bizarre thing all other bindings work flawlessly also when i reassign the keys that are binded to xfce4-popup-menu they work too... Also don't know where to look for some output Xorg logs don't show anything weird :/ hope somebody helps me out

The dmesg above is the kqemu module and qemu. I'd suspect hardware, but I don't have any other reason to, and everything was working fine before the upgrade. Also, it's only these two modules (so far) and the BUG always happens at the same place, which seems a little too deterministic to be heat issues.
