AUR is inaccessible from Turkey—a misconfiguration?

For the last few hours, many users from Turkey—including myself—have reported issues in accessing to the AUR. After realizing that it had been accessible with a VPN, we have checked out local government blocklists (<https://www.usom.gov.tr/adres> and <https://internet.btk.gov.tr/sitesorgu/>) where the aur.archlinux.org subdomain is not listed. And, a government block in Turkey would not return ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED either, it would be a landing page. I am suspecting a misconfiguration on server-side. Can anyone check it? Best regards,

How can we help with the recent AUR outages?

AUR seems to have had some very rough days this week. Uncharacteristically so. I've only been in the Arch world for a short time, but I'd really like to help sort whatever is going on out, if at all possible. If the AUR servers are straining, I'm sure I can marshal some resources to have those expanded. If it's because there's an attack, I already have a commitment from the Cloudflare CTO to help protect against it. I'm not sure who to reach out to in order to deliver assistance, resources, or whatever is needed, though. Again, I'm quite new here in the Arch world, but I'm incredibly motivated to help resolve whatever is plaguing the server farm. Thanks in advance for everything all of those working on this and the rest of the Arch infrastructure does! ✌️

Cannot receive password reset email for new AUR account

Hello, I recently created a new account on the AUR (aur.archlinux.org) but I have not received the password reset email despite several attempts. I have checked my spam/junk folder. There is a chance that I might have mistyped my email address during registration. Also, I am using a Microsoft email address (Outlook/Hotmail), which I know sometimes causes issues with receiving automated messages. Could you please check if my account is registered with the correct email and help me receive the reset email or update my account if necessary? Error timeout or connection reset by peer

Hello... For a few days now, I've been having problems connecting to AUR, and I'd like to know if my IP was banned by you or if my ISP (Spectrum Internet) is meddling in my business. I understand they've been hit by a DDoS attack recently, so I don't know if this has any connection. But the funny thing is that if I use a VPN, it works. The errors I've received have been the following: $ yay -Ss localsend -> Error during AUR search: 1 error occurred: * request failed: Get "https://aur.archlinux.org/rcp?arg=localsend&by=name-desc&type=search&v=5": read tcp 192.168.x.x:51298->95.216.144.15:443: read: connection reset by peer. Licensing following RFC40 and RFC52

Hello list, I have a question regarding adding LICENSES to the aurweb repos. The simple solution would be to add the 0BSD text to the repo. So far so good. I looked additionally into REUSE, as this is mostly deployed by the repo packages and got mentioned on the respective wiki page[0]. As the pkgctl programm from the devtools package has the subcommand `license setup` and `license check` I looked into using this. But the resulting structure doesn't conform to the aurweb submission guidelines as subdirectories aren't allowed. But would be required to be REUSE-compliant? Will this be changed to allow this specific subdir? Or should the suggestion to use REUSE dropped from the wiki page? If the latter, how to attribute patches that are added from upstream?
