There's a major version bump pending now for a very long period and user request come up every now and then requesting the update to the current 2.4.x branch. The current maintainer seems to have no time or interest to work on this in the near future. So someone else should pick this package up or we should drop it to some TU or even to AUR if nobody is interested. Meanwhile I've pushed a lacking minor update from the 2.2.x branch to testing. -Andy

Hi all, I just took over pioneer and pioneer-git. The way upstream has been releasing things has made it that, under the prior maintainer, pioneer-git was really using upstream's versioning, while pioneer languished under upstream's old versioning system as "alpha"-something. Please merge pioneer-git (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/pioneer-git/) into pioneer (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/pioneer/) so that I can continue forward with just the one. [aur-general] a cpan2aur, npm2aur, gem2arch like utility for Python

I've been looking, but I haven't yet found a utility like cpan2aur or gem2arch, etc for Python 'eggs' or whatever they're called ;-) I use cpan2aur ( well it's underlying module parent ) rather prolifically maintaining my Perl AUR PKGBUILDs, I eventually would like to utilize gem2arch, nodejs-npm2aur etc to take on even more responsibility to ensure that Arch Linux is the home of language library usability awesomeness. Even though I don't like the Python paradigm, I can not be ignorant to the fact that people use it; even if it makes me sad to know people are using it. That said, is anyone aware of, or have plans to make, a pypi2aur like utility ? I am the maintainer of the octave-java package [1]. It is now included in octave since version 3.8 and has been deprecated by the developers. Please remove.
