[aur-general] Package naming: <proglang>-<name> or <name>

Hi, I can't find anything in the AUR guidelines article about recommended naming convention for packages. Apart, from the brief paragraph here https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch_Packaging_Standards#Package_naming I stumbled upon two packages that make me wonder about that: 1) https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gist-git/ installs straight from repo and, by convention, uses -git suffix 2) https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/ruby-jist/ installs from Ruby gem Am I right the latter should be named just jist and jist-git for version of the package installing form git? Or, is the ruby- prefix recommended here? Or, the former should be actually named ruby-gist-git? There is another one, same kind of tool but implemented in Python: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/pygist-git/ What, if any, is the naming policy in such cases? I sense, it those packages should be named after software they provide: https://github.com/defunkt/gist -> gist and gist-git https://github.com/ConradIrwin/jist -> jist and jist-git https://github.com/mattikus/pygist -> pygist and pygist-git Their implementation language is displayed in dependencies. [aur-general] Strange filesystem conflict behavior

Today I upgraded my espeak-test package in AUR from 1.46.53 to the latest 1.47.03b. However, while testing my PKGBUILD, I received a file conflict error when attempting to install the binary package using pacman -U. It seems that /usr/share/espeak-data/voices/en, which is a directory in previous versions of espeak-test as well as community/espeak, has become a voice definition file in 1.47.03b. Apparently, this causes a file conflict error to be raised by pacman during the installation attempt. For now, I have added a comment to the AUR page informing anyone using the package that they should remove the entire /usr/share/espeak-data directory prior to installing the newest espeak-test, since --force should never be used for this kind of thing, and this removal is what I needed to do to get the new package installed. The question is whether or not this was the correct action to take, or if anyone has suggestions for truly fixing the problem. I am also wondering at this point if I have found a bug in pacman that would be causing this conflict error to be raised, in spite of the fact that I have added the proper conflicts and provides fields hat should have kept such an error from occurring. [aur-general] Problem with my PKGBUILD or yaourt?

Hi all, I've been maintaining sidplay-residfp and sidplay-residfp-libs for a little while now, and have hit this on a couple of versions of my packages. I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong with my depends variable, or if I'm hitting a bug in the yaourt AUR helper. As you can see in the output below: - Both packages are detected as upgrades (1.0.0 is installed) - It tries sidplay-residfp first - Detects that it needs the libs package, version 1.0.1 - Says it's gonna build from the AUR - Then tries to use pacman to install an AUR package Is it me, or is it yaourt? I've seen yaourt work with lots of other packages and correctly go through multiple levels of AUR deps to get something installed. [aur-general] How to contact Dragonlord (TU)?

His AUR page lists his email as tu(a)dragonlord.cz which results in delivery failure. Somewhere I found an address of dragonlord(a)seznam.cz however I have yet to receive any response.
