[arch-general] Manual startup of systemd/user

Hello, On my arch linux computer I have a vncserver running. I can connect to my arch linux system with vnc. Because the vnc user is not authenticated against PAM a systemd/user instance is not started for user vnc. And I would like to have a systemd/user instance for user vnc running because for instance pulseaudio depends on it. Is it possible to start manually an instance of systemd/user for user vnc? Is /'loginctl/ enable-linger vnc' the right way to start systemd/user for user vnc or is there another way? Kind regards, Harm-Jan Zwinderman

[arch-general] AFS home drive under GNOME no longer working

I asked this question in the forum as well, but got no answers. Hoping to have better luck here. I use my asf drive as home directory at work. So far this has worked fine, but something broke some time ago. Gnome-terminal acts like I don't have any valid tickets and denies access to my files. klist shows that I obtained the correct tickets (kerberos and afs) and when I switch to console, everything works absolutely fine. Running 'tokens' in the console lists my afs ticket, but the same command run from gnome-terminal acts as if there was no ticket. Very strange. I first thought it was a kernel issue, so I downgraded the kernel to a known working version and reinstalled openafs and openafs-modules-dkms from aur. No change, and why should it since it was always running outside of gnome. Oh, and I use krb5-auth-dialog for automatic ticket renewal. Very strange issue, I wonder why it doesn't work... Any ideas?

Hi, today's Deltup failed [1]. Commenting out UseDelta the update worked without an issue. I wont use it any more, but I'm willing to send a bug report. Were should I report this issue? Hi, We do have trouble with some bug reports [1], [2] and [3]. The maintainer (Giovanni Scafora) does not answer, nor update the PKGBUILD. In the last bug report [3] we kindly offer a working example of PKGBUILD which fix the problem : bring back the GUI (Qt5 instead of Gtk). The first bug report [1] is more than 4 years old without any respond... What do we need to do to resolve this issue ?
