In recent shenanigans[0], python-pyside became a split package, building Python 3 and 2 versions simultaneously. python2-pyside still exists in the AUR. Please merge python2-pyside[1] into python-pyside[2]. [aur-general] pandoc moved back to the AUR for the time being

I've moved pandoc back to the AUR because the latest version picked up too many new dependencies. It was convenient to have it in [community], but it's much saner to maintain these with the automation used by the arch-haskell project. I only use it for Rust's documentation generator, and don't want to be frequently rebuilding 30+ libraries for a language I don't use. Our packaging standards don't make much sense for Haskell because there are little gains from dynamic linking. There's not nearly enough sharing of code for it to come close to being efficient, and no stable ABI either.

Please merge: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/acx100-firmware/ and https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/acx111-firmware/ into https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/acx-firmware/ Firmware files for acx-mac80211 driver are quite a difficult bunch; some versions work with cards, some don't, some versions specify USB-only firmware files. I think it's best not to saturate AUR with lots of stand-alone firmware PKGBUILDs. Cheers!

[aur-general] systemd 207 and btrfs

I upgraded to systemd 207 today, and upon reboot received several messages that say, "failed to open /dev/btrfs-control skipping device registration: No such file or directory." The btrfs problem faq suggests that running "mknod /dev/btrfs-control c 10 234" should fix me up. However, when I run this it says that it already exists. The only significant changes that I made were to upgrade systemd, and add the systemd hook to mkinicpio.conf. I tried booting from external media, and removing the systemd hook, but after re-running mkinitcpio I still get the same result. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting past this? I will happily provide more information if you can tell me what would be helpful. Thanks, =-Jameson

[aur-general] uppity replaces curlpaste in [community]

Hi, curlpaste [1] has been replaced [2] by uppity [3]. The usage is very much the same. I propose moving uppity-git to [community] as uppity, and removing curlpaste (not uploading it to the AUR). Am I right in thinking that uppity "replaces", but does not "conflict" with curlpaste as there are no file conflicts? I believe I need three other TUs to agree that uppity can go into [community] as it only has two votes. If this does not happen in the next two weeks, I will continue to remove curlpaste from [community], but leave uppity-git in the AUR.
