I agree that it's a bit of a hack, but in my mind it's a bit more than a way to handle manually installed libraries. http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=35572 os-prober seems to have been abandonned...but the maintainer won't answer his/her email...(for more than a month now) Can someone make this package orphan so someone else can replace the PKGBUILD with another one (1.39 instead of 1.38). Thanks

Hi all, do we really need three packages of the OCaml library ocamlgraph [1]? The packages are all up-to-date, but maintained by three different users. The correctest one according to the specified dependencies IMHO is ocamlgraph-withoutfindlib [2], which also has the minimal code for building the package. What do you think? Hi, the yesod package at <http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=35370> is out-of-date. It has been marked out-of-date for quite a while, but unfortunately the Arch-Haskell team does not respond. Please disown the package so that I can take over maintenance and update it to the latest available version of yesod. Take care, Peter

Hi, I'm maintaining both udunits and udunits2 right now. udunits2 apparently contains a compatibility library for udunits and therefore I have merged the two packages together. I believe udunits2 should be removed now. Just wondering if it would be meaningful to put 'replaces' or 'provides' in the new PKGBUILD since no packages in the AUR depend on udunits2. [aur-general] chromium-beta and related mess

As the email suggests, I am JerichoKru, the same one that sparked Det's...interesting conversation that took place here. Though I'd rather let that die off and get to the actual issue. chromium-beta has been giving me issue after issue. Because of this, I have not uploaded it yet. 1.) I had figured that 6.0.496.0 would be the beta because it is the latest of the v6's and the v7's are the in dev tree. Det listed what is now the latest stable as the beta...which is obviously not right. 2.) This version apparently doesn't need/incompatible with the gyp patch listed. It stated that the patch was filled with "garbage". 3.) Skipping the patch causes a build error farther down in the compile process. Unfortunately, I forgot to save the output. I'll try again tomorrow as it is 11PM in my timezone. Any input for this would be helpful. As for clamav, it is updated and should work (it worked on my machine, anyway). On a somewhat related note: I had typed a rather long response to Det's...rant but, I tried to sent it with my other email and thus didn't get posted. When thinking about it, that reply would have just fed to the fire. ----- ...for some reason claws-mail can't send emails with hotmail...

Hi! As i've created a PKGBUILD for digikam2 (svn version), i needed new libkexiv2 and libkcraw version from trunk. First, l've created kdegraphics-libs-svn (http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=41118) but i replaced it with a better solution. I do not need kdegraphics-libs-svn anymore, so can someone delete it please? I started to adopt avbin64 and noticed that in the repo, there is avbin32, avbin-source and avbin, you can see the results http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?O=0&K=avbin&do_Search=Go In reality, I believe there should really only be one avbin since you can use if statements for it to download the correct source according to architecture.
