Hi This package does not build against the current repos so will need fixed by someone before it gets rebuilt for python2. It seems the issues is a newer vala, and the patch will look something like: http://code.google.com/p/pino-twitter/issues/attachmentText?id=309&aid=7997… The only addition needed for building against python2 is to add "export PYTHON=python2" before the ./waf lines. Please orphan ruby-taglib: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=12565 The PKGBUILD is broken and the package needs a patch. The maintainer does not respond to comments or email. It's his only package, created in Aug 2007 and never updated. The PKGBUILD misses dependencies, uses the wrong license, installs into hardcoded ruby 1.8 directories, etc. I'd like to adopt it, I have a working package ready which includes a patch for ruby 1.9.x. [aur-general] Dropping python-numeric

python-numeric is old, replaced by python-numpy and has had issues on x86_64 since python-2.5. These issues are far more noticeable in python-2.7 (as in python-numeric just does not work...), so I intend to drop this package from the repos. Two packages in [community] depend on it: freevo, gogh. When python-numeric gets dropped, so will these packages unless their maintainers (or someone else) do something about it. Both look like they can use numpy instead... Allan

As cairo 1.10 introduces LCD filtering (http://tinyurl.com/35vznmr) cairo-lcd and lib32-cairo-lcd from AUR are no longer needed. If they're removed, maybe we should add a 'replaces' entry in cairo and lib32-cairo. (request to arch-dev-general?) Besides, I wonder if libxft-lcd (in community) and its 32-bit counterpart in AUR are still useful, since I get LCD filtering with bare libxft, the only needed package from AUR was fontconfig-lcd. [aur-general] Notify on package disown?

Hi is there any way to be notified when an AUR package is disowned? I'm trying to take a more active role in the community so I'm trying to adopt some packages. I've already gone through pretty much all the orphaned packages now and adopted the ones that I thought I could maintain well.
