Hi Yesterday, i tested Gnome 3.32 for a friend. I would like to point out that Gnome-control-center crashes. I discovered it was because of Connman running. Solution 1 : stop temporarily Connman Solution 2 : replace Connman with Network-Manager This bug has been reported upstream 6 months ago https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-control-center/issues/342 -- Best regards Maderios

Hello, firstly, I don't know where I can send this message, so sorry if this is the wrong place. Clisp (an ANSI Common Lisp interpreter) hadn't received a new release since 2010-07-07 and the last update on the extra repo was on 2019-01-11, so I thought as we have others better options than Clisp, like sbcl on the extra repo, that has an active development, may be better if the Clisp package is removed from the arch repositories.

I'm using SQLite extensively for a programming project and today I noticed that sqlite is not built with the Session Extension enabled. https://www.sqlite.org/sessionintro.html https://git.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/tree/trunk/PKGBUILD?h=packa… Interestingly enough, I can use the C interface for sessions without issue. But when I use the sqlite3 CLI the .session command is not available. I went ahead and rebuilt the package with the options mentioned in the first link to enable the sessions extension, and the .session command was then available. I was wondering if this was an extension that is ever likely to be enabled in the build? Also perhaps someone more knowledgeable could explain why the C interface to Sessions work, but it is not available in the CLI interface? Forgive me if this is not the proper channel. I could have messaged the maintainer Andreas Radke directly but wasn't sure of the appropriate convention for such a question. Thank you Adam Levy

Hi, when playing youtube videos hardware video acceleration seems to gain absolutely nothing on my machine or I've done something wrong ;). Am I missing something? [arch-general] Proper use of signify in PKGBUILDs

I recently adopted the openbsd-manpages package[1], and wanted to verify downloaded files using OpenBSD's signify(1) tool. For each release of OpenBSD, you download the base public key[2], the architecture-specific files and the SHA256.sig[3] for those files. The files are verified by running: signify -Cp openbsd-65-base.pub -x SHA256.sig *.tgz The problem is that PKGBUILD thinks that the signify signature is a PGP signature, and tries to verify it against a non-existent file/PGP key. I've worked around this by renaming SHA256.sig to SHA256. Have any other packagers/maintainers experienced this problem, and if so are there any better solutions other than the one I mentioned? [arch-general] PC build for hardware video acceleration

Dear community, I want to build a new CPU-focused Arch Linux PC. No requirements for GPU, except for H.265 4K decode, in decent profiles (whatever that means). What hardware is best supported by libraries like VA-API and VDPAU? Are there other relevant libraries? Which libraries are still maintained and up-to-date, which are open source? I see three options right now: 1. High-end Intel CPU (e.g. i9-9900K) w/ integrated HD 630 GPU, or 2. CPU w/o iGPU (e.g. AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2920X) + dedicated, low-end AMD GPU (e.g. Radeon RX 560) 3. CPU w/o iGPU and low-end NVidia GPU (e.g. GTX 1050) I couldn't find out which setup works best using the wiki and other sources. Maybe anyone could point me to the right direction? What hardware is recommended for good H.265 4K playback on GPU? Thanks in advance, kind regards, L.

Hi there Archers, I am moving from manjaro i3 to Arch now, already started customizing i3 to my need. Has anyone seen how the "b-menu" in Manjaro i3 is?..it contains bluetooth, network manger etc.. binded to mod+ctrl+b keys by default. how can i get a similar one to my Arch config?.. please guide me.
