When doing a systemd upgrade I get: (3/7) Upgrading systemd-boot... Couldn't find EFI system partition. It is recommended to mount it to /boot. Alternatively, use --path= to specify path to mount point. error: command failed to execute correctly Are either of the above alternatives even viable for a real bios machine? This one got built when efi was somewhere on the drawing board or maybe before efi ever got to the drawing board. --

[arch-general] [Classroom] The Beginner's Guide to Arch Linux package management

Eschwartz will be teaching a class "The Beginner's Guide to Arch Linux package management". As usual, the class will be taught in the #archlinux-classroom channel on irc.freenode.net. It will take place on Sunday, June 4 at 17:00:00 UTC, and last approximately 2 hours. This class is primarily focused on teaching the basic structure of PKGBUILDs: how to read/write/modify them, handle different source types, common errors and how to avoid them, and finally contribute them to the AUR for others to use. Hi all, For some strange ofeason, anon me terminal does not load either when search for it or selectable it in application ns Is there a way to fix this without having to rest stall Arch. Is there something I am doingwrong? I am using gnome 3.24 with all updates as of today. Thanks again for the help. Matthew D

[arch-general] Kde + Gnome dual-install issues

I'm a quite new user of Arch and in general I'm very satisfied with it! Since I've installed both Kde/Plasma and Gnome on my system, I've two question for you: 1) In a Gnome session, which file should I edit to make folders on my Desktop open with Nautilus, when I double click on them? I've tried checking and editing ~/config/mimefiles.list (as stated in the wiki) but the right settings is already there. Under [Default applications] there is: > inode/directory=org.gnome.Nautilus.desktop; Which it's supposed to let Nautilus open a folder on double clicking, but anyway Dolphin opens it up! I've also put a gnome-mimefiles.list with the same directive... nothing :\ 2) In a Kde/Plasma session I see a lot of gnome-* process running, even if didn't opened any gnome-related app. How to disable the auto-start of those deamons/apps? If so, can the lynx browser run setup and then run flyspray after setup or is this going to need a g.u.i. browser? --
