hi everyone i am trying to replace my laptop drive with another, to clone the laptop drive to a second drive i followed 'Full system backup with rsync' from the wiki 1 create a partition table and filesystem on the second drive 2 mount the drive to /mnt 3 rsync -aAXv --exclude={"/dev/*","/proc/*","/sys/*","/tmp/*","/run/*","/mnt/*","/media/*","/lost+found"} / /mnt before i swap the drive in the laptop with the second drive do i chroot and run the following commands to configure the bootloader and do i need to do this from installation cd ? # grub-install --target=i386-pc /dev/sdx # grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg shadrock

Has anyone successfully used LDAP as a dynamic back-end for bind 9.11? Unless I'm reading the release notes/new features pages incorrectly the bind-dyndb-ldap plugin has been rolled into ISC's official release and I shouldn't have to mess around with patching/building it from source. Yet I get the following errors upon startup; named[9937]: loading configuration from '/etc/named.conf' named[9937]: /etc/named.conf:23: unknown option 'dynamic-db' named[9937]: loading configuration: failure named[9937]: exiting (due to fatal error) systemd[1]: named.service: Main process exited, code=exited, status=1/FAILURE Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The VirtualBox gui crashes when you want to add an existing hard disk to a SATA controller. Steps to reproduce: Select a Machine -> Settings -> Storage -> Controller: SATA -> Add hard disk -> Choose existing disk Then you will see the following message when you have started the Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager in a terminal: % VirtualBox Qt WARNING: libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile (VirtualBox:7254): Gdk-WARNING **: gdkwindow-x11.c:5554 drawable is not a native X11 window [1] 7254 segmentation fault VirtualBox The corresponding machine had no hard disk applied. I guess I have to use some Command line to get the machine up again...

Hello, New Gnome 3.22 which comes with wayland breaks urxvt. I'm using the .xsession to start the daemon (urxvtd) and .Xresources to configure the urxvt. [arch-general] Transparent gnome-terminal with Wayland

Hi there, with GNOME 3.22 defaulting to Wayland I thought I give it a try. All in all it works pretty well. I just miss the possibility to make some windows a bit less opaque. With Xorg I do it using Devil's Pie, but that doesn't seem to work with Wayland. Is there a way to get transparency with GNOME/Mutter on Wayland? [arch-general] networkd IPv6 and tunnel problems

Hi, I've an VPS whose network is configered with systemd-networkd. The original interface is eth0 configured by eth0-dhcp.network and has an IPv6 address, which however cannot connect to the HE IPv6 network[1]. So I use tunnel broker to get another IPv6 address. I configured this according to [2]. The new IPv6 address works fine. However, the original IPv6 address doesn't work anymore. When I try to connect to my box using the original IPv6 address, I cannot get a response. Is this related to the ``Tunnel=he-ipv6`` line I wrote to eth0-dhcp.network file? How can I solve this problem so that I can have two IPv6 addresses for different uses? Thanks.
