Hi! I would like to adopt the scummvm-svn package in AUR. It was not updated since August last year and does not compile for several months. I tried to contact the old maintainer but he did not answer my email. Could anyone please orphan it? Thanks in advance. Hello everyone! I maintain eclipse-qt4 in Aur. Currently the package is in error and I am unable to update it because my Arch box died yesterday (Grrr....). This package has 37 votes and some users depends on it. I would like to know: 1- Is it possible to some TU to update this package and put it in community? I think it could be a great addition. 2- If no TU is available, could a user update my package and orphan it after that? I will take it again when my new computer will be build. Hi, I made a pkgbuild for GNU freedink and submitted it in AUR, but shortly after that the developer changed it's naming so that it has now been replaced with freedink-engine. Could you please remove 'freedink' from AUR? -- Petteri Tolonen

[aur-general] New users and groups

Hi, I've to introduce some new users in my ossec packages. My question is: may I use specific uid's and gids in PKGBUILD or I've to use adduser and groupadd etc. in install? The problem is that if I use adduser, groupadd and chown in install script pacman complains everytime when I run update of this package. And it's of course very messy way of doing it so. On the other hand, there can be conflicts with existing users and groups. What should I do? Regards Lukas 'stativ' Jirkovsky
