The renowned shooter game 'epiar' actually has a new version with lower version numbers. (current 0.4.1 is newer than 0.5) The build system of the original source archive is partially broken. However I managed to make up a environment that runs. 1) forgive the original build() function, use sh autogen.sh && ./configure --prefix=/usr && make || return 1 2) because the Lua library comes with it doesn't honour DESTDIR, and the fact that we don't need it since already have one. comment out the entire "install:" block for Source/Lua/Makefile 3) the original 'make install' is broken because it only installs the binary. actually the 'Resource' directory is also needed. 4) make a wrapper script to run the game. -- Li Ian-Xue http://b4283.ath.cx

hi, wwt-svn[1] and wit-svn[2] are the same package. Actually, after this list of packages was first posted, I emailed a few of the maintainers to see if they were still interested in maintaining the packages, and if so could they update them or else let us know that they can be orphaned. In at least one case [1] the maintainer had simply forgotten that the packakge had been flagged out of date and promptly updated it. I imagine that there are a few like this who would appreciate some prompting. In another case, the maintainer told me that the packgage was a duplicate of another and could be deleted. I wonder if a better approach might be to have the ability for TUs (or others?) to trigger a "we don't think you're maintaining this any more, it will be orphaned soon if you don't do anything" notification. If the maintainer doesn't unflag it, update it, whatever within a period of time, the package is automatically orphaned. I'm hesitant about going ahead and bulk orphaning things, if only because with the small amount of effort I put in I found a maintainer who was still willing and just forgot. Pete. The package was used to keep up the new versions of the library, when the official repos haven't caught up yet -- I uploaded this pkg. Hi This package does not build against the current repos so will need fixed by someone before it gets rebuilt for python2. It seems the issues is a newer vala, and the patch will look something like: http://code.google.com/p/pino-twitter/issues/attachmentText?id=309&aid=7997… The only addition needed for building against python2 is to add "export PYTHON=python2" before the ./waf lines.
