[aur-general] Question about bad applications

What should I do about software that won't work, not due to the fact about how it is packaged, but badly coded? I am finding some packages of mine that won't compile or run and the author(programmer) doesn't seem to be active anymore

[aur-general] Help with a perl package needed

Hi, I just remembered that I wrote a PKGBUILD for a perl program a while ago but never made it available to others. I know nothing about perl, so I'm looking for advice. It did build, install and apparently work, but spits a whole lot of errors now. I don't have the slightest idea how to figure out what's wrong now. I had to write PKGBUILDs for a bunch of the dependencies as well, and used CPANPLUS to do that. Thanks to a hint from a fellow archer I noticed that a bunch of those are already provided by the perl package itself. [aur-general] gadmin-squid

I adopted and updated gadmin-squid to the latest version. I figured I would try something, because if you install a desktop file so that it will show up in Gnome's menu, it would say you need to run it as root. So I created a BASH Script called gadmin-squid-menu and added optdepends=('gksu: Graphical Sudo Support'). The desktop file points to gnome-squid-menu(my bash script, which states if gksu is installed, run gksu /usr/sbin/gadmin-squid, else gadmin-squid). [aur-general] Concerning all my questions

I just wanted to write and say I hope I am not annoying anybody with my questions. I am trying to help AUR(even though at times I ask for something to be deleted, thinking that it's a duplicate). On my other questions, I am trying to make sure my packages conform to the standards as much as I possibly can and try to get them to work. Thanks for the understanding.

Hi, what happened with qucs? it was removed from community and AUR. http://repos.archlinux.org/wsvn/community/qucs/trunk/ fails, but it still presents in https://www.archlinux.org/packages/?q=qucs and can be downloaded from mirror.
