[arch-general] NetworkManager attribute but doesn't use ipv6

Hi I have a problem with nm : it seems to get an ipv6 address from dhcp, but it doesn't use it. ip addr inet 192.168.0.5/24 brd 192.168.0.255 scope global wifi valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever inet6 *:*:*:*:*:*:8f3e:7de1/64 scope global noprefixroute dynamic valid_lft 86334sec preferred_lft 86334sec ip -6 route *:*:*:*::/64 dev wifi proto kernel metric 303 mtu 1480 fe80::/64 dev wifi proto kernel metric 256 (I replaced my ipv6 by * for privacy) Web sites like http://whatismyipv6.com/ say that I don't have an ipv6. I searched on the web, but nothing concluant. Any idea ?

[arch-general] community/mythtv out of date & unmaintained

Hello, I'm a mythtv user and I flagged this package since months. What's up with mythtv packages ? I've updated PKGBUILD for myself to the latest version. If nobody wants to maintain them, then I could maintain the mythtv & mythplugins packages in AUR.

Changing neither /etc/pacman.conf's Architecture = i686 nor the /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist entries accordingly are of any help. Does anyone have an idea, what's missing? -- Friedrich

Hi, I'm trying to install icecat with yaourt but get always error: No space left on device. $ df -H Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/sda3 66G 38G 26G 60% / tmpfs 3.2G 0 3.2G 0% /dev/shm tmpfs 3.2G 0 3.2G 0% /sys/fs/cgroup tmpfs 3.2G 3.2G 160k 100% /tmp tmpfs 627M 4.1k 627M 1% /run/user/1000 I have installed my arch linux on one partition only, on /dev/sda3. I tried to install icecat several times, moreover after a reboot too, but always get this error message. I tried also to setup yaourt and makepkg: /etc/yaourtrc TMPDIR="/tmp" /etc/makepkg.conf BUILDDIR=/tmp/makepkg Still get the above error. What can I do to solve this problem? -- Regards from Pal

[arch-general] Please move evieext and printproto from [extra] to [null]

Hi folks, In [extra] we've printproto, evieext and their libraries (libxp and libxevie), which are of no use. Because, both extensions have been droped from xorg-server 5 years ago: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/commit/?id=f4036f6 http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/commit/?id=1c8bd31 The first version of xorg-server without those extensions was 1.6.0, which was added in March 2009: https://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/commit/trunk?h=package… Removing evieext and libxevie should be straight forward, as they aren't required by anything else. For libxp it looks a bit different: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/libxp/ I hope that all required-by's have a switch to disable the dependency to libxp. I've checked at least openmotif: its configure knows a --disable-printing option. (While looking at openmotif [community], I've noticed that it isn't required by anyone. Isn't that a candidate to be moved to AUR?) Then we've libxcb, here xevie and xprint have to be disabled explicitly as they're enabled by default. It's not a bug to keep the packages and they don't eat much space on the harddisk. So, I don't have any better argument then saying: they don't serve any purpose. But, for quite some time I wanted to point at them. So, is it in your interest to get rid of them? Would you like to do it? Thanks for your patience and thanks for Arch, Daniel Martin
