[arch-general] Odd message on boot

Been seeing a strange message recently on boot. Seems to have only appeared in the last few weeks. 'Unknown group "netdev" in message bus configuration file' Anyone know what's causing it and/or how to get rid of it? Thanks, DR

So they most likely will differ and provide different features rather soon. So I'd like to see LibreOffice in [extra] besides OpenOffice. I think LibreOffice is or will soon be too important to just have it in AUR or [community]. Nevertheless regardless whether LibreOffice is in AUR, [community] or [extra] there should be clean packages and naming schemes which comply with the packaging and naming schemes for OpenOffice. Ensuring this is another reason to put it officially to [extra]. Heiko

I'm glad Arch did the python3 transition and I agree with python3 being the default version (i.e. having 'python' symlink to 'python3.x'). But what's the reason for no longer having a package named 'python3' with a symlink to 'python3.x'? It would make (/have made) the transition a little easier, no? Any harm done in providing it?

Here is a new one for me A system update tonight provided the following note: ==> NOT included depencies(with reasons): - sidplay - we do not have sidplay 2 series in repos; also it's somehow connected with resid i guess(not in repos also) this is the first time I've seen this and it looks like pacman got confused looking for the sidplay 2 series package. I didn't know that, nor did I read that somewhere on the wiki. Why is this? Aren't programs copied to memory (i.e. loaded) before being used? I thought I'd try my luck on here, even though this is a rather Gnome-specific question: In the past I've been using seahorse to provide both a gpg agent and an ssh agent. Recently I noticed that gnome-keyring-daemon provides both of those agents. I must say though that it seems to be very flaky. I'll switch back to using seahorse for now, but I'm still wondering why it is that there are two Gnome components with so much overlapping functionality. [arch-general] Anybody else having trouble with Virtualbox after upgrade

Hi all. I hope this is the right place for me to raise my issue. After doing a pacman -Syu and then rebooting I noticed that I could no longer start my VirtualBox vms I get the following error: Failed to open a session for the virtual machine My_VM Callee RC: NS_ERROR_INVALID_ARG (0x80070057) Virtualbox then crashes (segmentation fault). I had the testing repo enabled, so I thought that one of the packages from testing might have broken it. So I disabled the testing repo in pacman.conf and removed all testing packages with: pacman -Syy pacamn -Suu I then recompiled my virtualbox drivers and rebooted. But that did not help at all. [arch-general] ssh mutt etc problem

Dear Archers, With the latest pacman -Syu I am getting segfaults with ssh and mutt. I think the two are related for the following reason (1) Mutt works alright till it tries to make SSL/TLS connection and then it seg faults (2) ssh directly seg faults I think this has got to do with an update in openssl (both mutt and openssh depends on this) although the openssl comman itself does not seem to have a problem Regards ppk
