As gdm/sddm include it's own pam_keynit module before sourcing system-login it'll be effectively called twice. [arch-general] linux-4.13: CONFIG_SPI removed?

I'm using a MacBookPro from late 2016, which features a keyboard and touchpad that are attached via SPI (spi_pxa2xx_platform), using the driver from [0]. It seems that with the upgrade to kernel 4.13. CONFIG_SPI has been removed [1]. Any idea what was the motivation behind this change? Was it intentional? I'm totally capable of compiling my own kernel, but I'd rather spend my time on other things :) Could we have CONFIG_SPI back in the stock kernel? [arch-general] Firefox can't use CUPS Printer

Hello, I have a CUPS printer (HP) enabled and all good. My firefox is not from repo. I am using a localized version of firefox downloaded from firefox website. Right now I can print to a pdf and from that PDF I can print the text. Can I locate the printer in Firefox in any way? I'm on Arch KDE and I am using hplip if that's of any help. Thanks SRD

Hello, I am sorry to write here about this about I would like to register on https://bbs.archlinux.org to have access to the Arch forum. The problem is that I am unable to install Arch but the registration page is asking me the result of an Arch command that I cannot run because I cannot install it in the first place. Hello, So I have arch installed on a 50GB space, I also have 400 GB as a windows partition, I want to know is there a way for me to delete that windows drives and attach them with either / or /home so that I can use them from Linux without reinstalling? Thanks N

With all programs above I can scan - right. I can also make an PDF of the scan. With gscan2pdf I can scan many pages at once (fledbed scanner or ADF) and convert all pages directly to PDF. In addition, OCR is performed. And a pdf is generated with the text from OCR as hocr layer. The special feature is that a searchable PDF can be created at once. As far as I know it is not possible with simple-scan nor with scanlite nor with gambas3-gb-scanner. The special thing is that I can correct then OCR Text directly before I save the file. And a few other things that simplify the work. It is not just another scan program. It is the only program I know what allows archiving in this way. best regards Stephan

Is there a way to get such color scheme files to choose from? Also, is there some specification of what each of the 20 colors specified per active/disabled/inactive ones is supposed to mean? The inactive and active ones are pretty similar, except for the 13th color, not sure if some more should change. The disabled one is of course more different, :) I'm not looking for the inactive colors to be similar to the disabled ones, just a bit more of contrast than what I see, which is no difference on tabs or even buttons...
