[arch-general] mkpkg : A new tool to auto rebuild packages when makedepends have updated

When building packages (makepkg + PKGBUILD), It would be useful if there was a way to easily rebuild the package whenever a make dependency is updated. One can do this manually of course, by bumping the pkgrel and rebuilding. To make it easier I built a tool to do that for me. For example: When a tool chain used to build a package is updated, it's good practice to rebuild those which use that tool chain. For example, when gcc, cargo, binutils et al are updated packages using those tools should also be updated. While static linked libraries surely don't demand a rebuild to function, because the prior, older library is part of the binary itself, it's still a good idea to rebuild it. This will pick up fixes, including security related ones, as well as improvements. Of course, it's always sensible to confirm that the application properly builds and works with the newer tool or library. Greetings, I think my question is: now that I have a new laptop and a slightly different networking setup, how do I get QEMU to work with systemd-resolved, but if I had all the answers, then I wouldn't be asking for help. :-) My symtoms are that QEMU guests (various live Linux CDs) can ping IP addresses, but not resolve names: $ ping -c1 archlinux.org ping: archlinux.org: Name or service not known $ resolvectl query archlinux.org archlinux.org: resolve call failed: Lookup failed due to system error: Network is unreachable $ ping -c1 95.217.163.246 PING 95.217.163.246 (95.217.163.246) 56(84) bytes of data. 64 bytes from 95.217.163.246: icmp_seq=1 ttl=255 time=414 ms [statistics elided to conserve bandwidth] On my old laptop, I used NetworkManager resolvconf, but on the new one, I'm using iwctl/iwd and systemd-resolved, so I'm assuming that that's the culprit. In any case, I'm using the following command to start QEMU (various live CDs boot and run with various options, but they all exhibit the same networking symptoms; vm.qcow2 is newly created): qemu-system-x86_64 -m 8G -enable-kvm -drive file=vm.qcow2 -cdrom /path/to/iso-image I have no access to a wired network. I do have access to two WiFi networks. One is from my cell phone provider. The other goes through a captive portal over which I have no control. I get the same symptoms in my guests either way. Hi guys, Recently tried to install Spyder IDE but i got a ton of errors, so after trying different approaches I found that probably doing it through Anaconda would be better. And try first with AUR, but never could, so I download Anacondas installer and after a huge amount of time it got installed. So there it was Anaconda + Spyder etc.... however I started to get a ton of Python related warnings and error every time I updated (pacman -Syu), so i ended up removing Anconda and everything else. Hello! On my latest install I forgot to mount the boot partition during the installation process, which prompted me to come back on a few of the steps after setting up the root filesystem. Everything works great (with systemd-boot) but I just remembered one thing I missed was adding an entry in fstab for /boot. ZFS is in AUR. I wonder what is the reason why it is not moved to the Arch repos? The zfs-linux package has 250 votes, the zfs-dkms has 137, and the zfs-linux-lts has 70. I am aware about the possible license incompatibility between the kernel which uses GPL2 and ZFS which uses CDDL, however even Debian which is strict about several things such as what is 'free software', has ZFS in its main repos.
