Hello, This is a list [#1] of possible packages that can be arch=('any') in a future. The pkgs don't have any ELF[*] (x86-32 or x86-64) [executables, shared objects, relocatables] or AR archives (static libs). [aur-general] java package has build time deps

Hi, i'm working on a PKGBUILD for jsampler-cvs.This is a java frontend to Linuxsampler. This app requires 4 more java libraries to be present at build time in a subdir of the source.These are jlscp.jar, juife.jar, swingx.jar and substance.jar.All of these are only needed for build, I ran the program without them installed just to check. What would be the best way to do ? put them in the makedepends array : that means packaging 4 more libs to AUR, forces the user to install these libraries on system, absolutely unneeded for running jsampler, since they are somewhat integrated to jsampler.jar during build.And it would still require to copy them from their install path to the source/subdir of jsampler to be able to build... or put them in the sources array and copy them the source/subdir before building, so they are just used for build and not installed.That works but is it the "good" way ? or something else ?

Hi, To fix the issue posted here in FS#15611, I've protected the 3 guidelines linkedn on the AUR home page: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AUR_User_Guidelines http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AUR_Trusted_User_Guidelines http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch_Packaging_Standards Therefore, regular users can no longer edit them. Only wiki sysop/admin can do that now. Most of the devs have these privileges so just post the wanted change here and someone will do them. These pages don't change a lot except maybe Arch_Packaging_Standards (I could unprotect it if it's wanted) so it shouldn't be any problem. Another possibility could be to give to some TU wiki sysop privileges. Eric

They are not. Any packages are not supported yet. We are testing support for any packages in addition to split packages on the main arch server. Renaming packages is no longer necessary. In fact, the scripts require the arch in the package now. You're using the same scripts which run the official repos, so they should do things correctly. Hello, i am still failing to upload packages to [community]. The communitypkg script from the aurtools wants a password, which I do not have, I only have aa passphrase. The devtools package does not include a communitypkg script. Puzzled Stefan
