Archlinux man pages, CSS format for <pre> blocks causing lines to wrap?

Archdevs, Not sure where this should go, but the CSS for <pre> in https://man.archlinux.org/man/tmpfiles.d.5.en is causing the information to wrap. Changing zoom or browser window size doesn't change the width of the <pre> blocks and the text wraps in an awkward fashion, e.g. <pre>#Type Path Mode User Group Age Argument f /file/to/create mode user group - content f+ /file/to/create-or-truncate mode user group - content ... It literally looks as shown in this e-mail with fixed font: <pre>#Type Path Mode User Group Age Argument f /file/to/create mode user group - content Not a big deal, but I'm used to seeing the Arch pages well laid-out and not subject to css hiccups. Tried in both Firefox and Brave browsers, same result. Anybody else see this? Just passing the info along so it can be passed to the right person if tweaking is warranted. [arch-general] pcmanfm-gtk3 no longer working on wayland?

Hi ! pcmanfm-gtk3 is segfaulting on wayland when trying to access any directory. I don't know if others are experiencing the same. The alternative I've been using is thunar, though I really liked pcmanfm-gtk3. Is there a work around? Although I don't like it, I also tried "GDK_BACKEND=x11 pcmanfm" and it also segfaults... Have others experience the same? Greetings ! -- Javier

[arch-general][waybar] simple quick launch buttons

Happy holidays ! AFAIK waybar doesn't offer quick launch buttons, but it does offer custom modules, which one can use to mimic such buttons. I'm using custom modules in a pretty simple way, for example for librewolf (I didn't find an awesome icon font for it, so using the FF one): > "custom/librewolf": { > "format": "", > "interval": "once", > "on-click": "librewolf", > }, I have some other ones for other applications. I do use keybindings as well, and I can use wofi to search for the applications, but none of them are really alternatives for other users. It does work ! However I was looking for a very simple way to add what official modules, like a "tooltip-format" which is part of the official modules. Not sure why on earth it's not part of the custom modules. So for example, I'd look for something similar to: > "custom/librewolf": { > "format": "", > "tooltip-format" "Firefox Browser" > "interval": "once", > "on-click": "librewolf", > }, So that if someone doesn't recognize the awesome font icon, one could just find out by the tip shown when getting the mouse on top of the button. As this is not supported. Is there any simple way to do that? Hopefully not requiring to add several scripts just for this. Something that might be part os such snippet, and pretty simple would be great, :) Please let me know of suggestions. Thanks ! -- Javier

Plasma application dump

Hello, I run KDE plasma under wayland. On several occasions, the applications crash. The front runners are akregator,kontact etc. Usually, I find a core dump associated with the crash with coredumpctl. Where can I report the crashes/back trace/core dump to help those projects? Should it be arch bug tracker or upstream? -- Thanks and Regards Shridhar

What is the plan for dhcpd/kea?

Devs, With ISC dhcpd now mature and frozen (end of life, but ISC will continue to make available on gitlab and if necessary provide bug fixes), the new ISC offering is Kea that is its successor to dhcpd. The wiki notes the successor in the first paragraph https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Dhcpd but there is no Kea page and no indication if Arch will start packaging Kea. For those of us with long standing ISC bind/dhcpd setups what does the future look like on Arch? Will there be a Kea at some point? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.

Potential conflict with icu package?

Dear all, I was recently performing my system's scheduled maintenance and went to upgrade my packages, as you do. Correction, both ddgr and ddgr-git throw error 202 when run. What is error code 202?
